An elegant 2nd floor room with four front windows overlooks our inner courtyard and the rooftops of the Stone Town. Interesting period lampshades and a period desk present an old world atmosphere. The bathroom is economical is size but is self-contained bathroom with a stone bath with flexible shower. This room has access to the 2nd floor common kitchen at the end of the 2nd floor hall dining area and lounge. Taarab singer Siti binti Saad rose to a position of national pride as the songstress of her day. She was the first East African woman to have her voice recorded for entertainment and for promoting the Swahili language. A photo of Siti Binti Saad along with other scenes of old Zanzibar decorate the room.
